This is the surgical repair of defect in anterior vaginal wall to treat conditions like cystocele (prolapse of bladder through vagina) or urethrocele (prolapse of urethra into vagina). Under general or spinal anaesthesia, vaginal skin is incised, defect in the underlying tissue is identified and reinforced with strong sutures. The incision is then closed with stitches.
